Kathy & I drove to Rochester today to visit the Eastman House and – more importantly – meet up with some of our photo friends (more on that later). This photo is not necessarily representative of the experience but is one of my favorites for the day.
We’ve got one more day in the Finger Lakes before we head south on Saturday. We should be sleeping in our own bed on Sunday and are looking forward to it!
Another interesting shot. I enjoy the quality of your work as well as the subject matter. Best wishes.
Thank you, Tom for the kind words!
I like the perspective of this image! Glad you didn’t fall. Yes, I imagine it will feel good to be back in your own bed. Drive safely!
I was very much safe on the floor side of the railing! The articulating screen makes composition simple and the camera strap helps steady the shot. So no worries!
We made the drive yesterday (Saturday) and are enjoying a return to housework (NOT! 🙂 ). All’s well and more photos are coming!
I very much like the abstract feel to this. At a first quick glance, you wouldn’t immediately recognize what it is, which makes it all the more interesting.
Thanks, Mark. That’s partly what I like about it. The ceiling overhead was interesting too, but that is another post!
Nice image and unique perspective. I always liked visiting the house and museum as it was only a 15 minute drive from our former home. Lots to engage a photographer!
It was our first visit and definitely worth the effort.
