When going through my Mackinac photos I realized that I had assembled a small collection of what I call “detaily” photos. Small bits of stuff that are often overlooked in a scene. This is just an example from one place. I do it all the time but don’t usually post it as subject matter. Hmmm….

Super-nice. For me (as you’d likely guess), these details are the substance of a scene – the parts of a story that keep you engaged beyond the essentials of the plot.

I think those small details can tell more of a story than the grander views.
I used to do a photo club presentation I titled “Beyond The Obvious.” All about the pictures within a picture.
