Weisenkirchen means “White Church” in the Austrian language, which is how this town got its name. Walking back from a tasting of lovely Gruner Veltliner wine one evening, I caught this view of the white church.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see inside. Our ship docked in Weisenkirchen but we were bused from there to Durnstein and didn’t return until after everything had closed.
