Kathy & I found ourselves in Winston-Salem, NC this past weekend. Sunday turned out to be dark and rainy, which made it a perfect chance to slip into something more monochrome. Story to follow in a future post, but I did shoot some in color, too!

I sure have moved to more monochrome images over the past couple years. This time also coincides with the purchase of my first Fujifilm camera. Nice work, Tom.
Thank you, Monte. Just like the Fuji color, there is something about the B&W that makes even my photos look pretty good. I’m learning – slowly – to see that way, although I still generally default to color. I love being able to put the camera into B&W mode and see the actual preview in the viewfinder, rather than have to “imagine” it from a color image.
I have one of my functioning buttons set to bracket three different film simulations, so when the desire hits me I can shoot multiple ways.
