Almost didn’t go out this evening, but glad I did. Tybee Island, GA is in the background, including the lighthouse.

We took a day trip to Beaufort, SC today. I was a little bummed about the lack of good photographic opportunity until I came across this scene late in the day. Sometimes taking an unplanned side road can lead to something special! I have a number of shots that I could have posted for today, but this one stood out on my first pass.
In South Carolina it’s pronounced Bew-fort as opposed to North Carolina where it’s Bow-fort.

Tough day today, photographically. Got our walk in this morning but a total of only 4 photos before the drizzle settled over us. At least I didn’t have to recycle!
Sun returns tomorrow (they say) and we’re planning to explore Beaufort, SC.

As a bonus, here is another one from yesterday that seemed share-worthy:

I promised Kathy warmer temperatures and sunshine tomorrow. So we may be driving to Florida tomorrow to get on a cruise ship. Any cruise ship.
Probably not, but you never know! 😉

A few more photos today, but windy and cloudy here with high seas. No sunset tonight! Clearing expected tomorrow and into next week. Here’s hoping!

A combination of lazy photographer and uncooperative weather has led to a dearth of photos for today. This is what there is. Nastiness on the way for tomorrow so I may need to recycle something from a previous day. Recycling is good, right? 😉

We had a drizzly day here so decided to take a drive down to Tybee Island, GA. We’d never been and wanted to check it out. It seemed a lot more like the “classic” beach town than Hilton Head. More like Carolina Beach or Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina. It was pretty quiet, being the off-season but we may try to get back there on a sunny day.

Something a little different. And perhaps a bit weird.
