Well, just like that the sun is out and the snow is melting. I saw a forecast high of 76 for next week. I’ll believe that when I see it, but for now things are looking up.
They are going to expect me to make an appearance in the office today, so I’m going to post a few more photos just to keep the momentum going. I shot a lot more yesterday but since I’m juggling priorities I may have to work on them over the weekend.
Enjoy this latest installment!
Damn those people and their work! 😉 I’m thinking that you should have done “Polar Bear” and taken a dip in that pool, Tom. It looks inviting! LOL I love the appropriately dressed doggies.
Yeah, some people take this work thing way too seriously. Me, I tend to take my vacation – and use of vacation days – seriously! Fortunately my office closed early on Wednesday and opened at noon today, so if I’m nice to my manager I may be able skate by without actually using any PTO (Paid Time Off). A win-win for me! 😉
I’ve not had a chance to use the pool yet, but will probably wait until it is much warmer. Although there wasn’t much of a crowd there yesterday! 🙂
Those were the only two people I saw on my entire walk on Wednesday, although I did see a few more after the sun came out yesterday (Thursday).
That snow is a wonderful abstractor for all kinds of images, Tom. My clear favourite is the last image with those pipes half covered by the snow – I really had to think until I recognized the subject matter.
Thanks, Marcus. The best thing for us is that it covered up the mud for a little while!
I agree that one of the things that snow can do is to simplify a scene by removing or covering excess clutter. Those pipes were hard to resist!
That’s one lonely looking golf cart and a good set of images. Hope you do get up into the 70’s. We were in the 60’s over the weekend out here in Colorado. Windy but nice.
The forecast is calling for 73 tomorrow. We’ll see if we actually get there!
It’s great how snow simplifies the landscape. It can be a pain in the a** but it is beautiful. We are months away for seeing 76, too.
My thermometer claims it saw 77 today, but it was cooling off by the time I left work. Hopefully we are done with new snow for the year, and other than a few drifts the piles are gone, too. We’ll be looking for Bradford Pear blossoms in the next few weeks!
