Kathy & I went to Davidson for dinner last night, and decided to get there early to have a little time to walk around town so I took my camera along. The clouds and moon were quite dramatic, and I thought this was a decent result. I’m playing with a B&W version but haven’t struck on one I like yet.

I don’t know if you’ll find a B&W one that will work quite as good. The warm, tungsten tone of the clock tower set against the dramatic sky just works really well, IMHO. 🙂
Thanks, Paul. I never did end up with a B&W version I liked as well. This one looks pretty good though. The trees are a little soft due to the shallow DOF, but overall it captures the mood pretty well.
If this were my shot I don’t think I would even think of a B&W conversion. It’s almost a selected color shot as it is.
Thanks, Ken. As I expected, I agree 100%!
Tom, this one’s got a real “spooky” feel to it. I like!
Thanks, Earl!
Just curious – when you posted did you get the error message that Paul and Monte mentioned the other day?
Tom, No…there was no error message when I posted the comment above.
Thanks, Earl. I love self-correcting problems! 🙂
