In mid-August we took the train from Fairbanks to Anchorage and on the way saw this blue-green house identified as City Hall of Sherman. Unbeknownst to me, I was holding the book written by the lady of this house. I didn’t realize until the end of the book that I’d actually passed where she lived. What an energetic woman!!! I wish her continued health and happiness. And don’t change the pain on your house. It is etched indelibly in my memory even before I read the book.
Just loved the family that ran out to wave to our train. So-o Alaska!!!

We waved to the woman on June 13, 2013. She must be a busy lady waving to all trains.

Please, I need to know the name of the lady and the book! We went by in June of 2018 and her husband waved to us.
The author is Mary Lovel. Google is an amazing thing…you should try it. 😉
