A Little Dinghy

Dinghy and reflections in Boothbay Harbor, Maine

Kathy & I are enjoying a little downtime this afternoon before we pack up for the short drive up to Acadia National Park tomorrow.  It’s been on and off cloudy and rainy, but still a good day for getting out with the camera.  I love working with a prime lens when walking around town, and used the 35mm 1.4 for this shot.  It’s pretty nice in color, but I’m excited to actually have a B&W version that works for me.

  1. I also like my prime lens but it’s the 35mm f2.0. My love for them is their smaller size and wonderful image quality. Hope the weather cooperates with you. Travel safely!

  2. I find the 35 to be a little long for a walk-around lens, usually preferring the 23. But I love the size of the 35 and the sexy-ish lens hood.

We saw rain on Sunday for the first time but it passed and now is good. More rain on the horizon and we’ll be visiting Mount Washington soon, where the forecast is for cold and windy. It’s been interesting, for sure!
