Postcard From Lafayette, Louisiana

Alligator at Lake Martin during our swamp tour with Cajun Country Swamp Tours

Today, Kathy & I are in Lafayette, Louisiana where we toured the Tabasco plant in Avery Island and took a swamp tour, then capped off the day with a visit to a roadhouse with Cajun music and fresh seafood.  Louisiana is an interesting place!

  1. Looks like an interesting area to explore. Have a niece now in Baton Rouge and friend from PSA lives there also. Both have been encouraging me to visit,

    1. There are definitely some good photo opportunities here, Don. I’ll post more photos later, but there are numerous birding areas, including an egret rookery on land operated by the Tabasco people.

    1. It was actually a 200mm lens, but we were only 25-30 yards away. We were in a boat and I had a small child sitting next to me as chum (kidding, of course!).
